This disclaimer applies to your use of the perdanot website and everything on it. We publish general, educational information about gentle walking in the indigenous forests of the Garden Route and on the Millwood heritage paths near Knysna. All material on this site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete or up to date. Information about routes, trail conditions, facilities and access permits can change without notice — SANParks manages the Garden Route National Park and may close a section at short notice for maintenance, fire risk or storm damage. Always check current conditions with SANParks or with us before you set out.

You use this website at your own risk. We are not liable for any direct, indirect or incidental loss arising from your use of our content or from your not being able to use it. Nothing in this notice limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Not professional advice

The information on this site is not medical, health or other professional advice. Before you take up any new physical activity — particularly if you are older or living with a chronic condition — please speak to your doctor or another suitably qualified health professional.

Our route descriptions and notes on facilities are informational. Every walker must judge for themselves whether they are able to complete a given route on the day, taking into account their health, their fitness and their own limits. Family members and carers accompanying an older walker are responsible for satisfying themselves that a chosen route is safe and suitable.

We do not warrant that every route is suitable for everybody, nor that conditions are always safe. Weather on the Garden Route can turn quickly, paths become slippery after rain, and mist can close in on the forest with very little warning. All of these can affect safety and none of them is within our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from your use of this website or its content, including loss caused by errors, delays in publishing information, or interruptions in access.
